Our German penpals from Hamburg visited us on Monday with their teacher Philip. They were on a school trip to Ireland. We have been corresponding with our penpals all year and we were so excited to finally meet them. They performed a dance for us and we performed some traditional Irish music and song for them. Afterwards the pupils taught our German friends how to play hurling. We had a very enjoyable day! Thanks to the Parents Assocaition for providing treats for us!

We celebrated our end of year school mass and Graduation ceremony for 6th class yesterday. We had a lovely celebration with prayers, readings, songs and instrumentals by the pupils. Sixth class were awarded their graduation certificates and writing logbooks. Sixth class then had a pizza party at the new outdoor classroom. The pizzas were very kindly provided by the Parents Association.
We had an Offaly colours day to show our support for the Offaly Under 20's in the All-Ireland Final against Tipperary. Thankfully Offaly won the match and we were all delighted!
On Friday 31st May we had a mosaic workshop with Aidan. It was incredible and we all got to create our own mosaic. We had so much fun doing these and we will display them at our end of year mass!
Fifth and Sixth Class went on their school tour on Thursday 6th June 2024 with Birr O.E.C. We spent the morning playing team games, rock climbing, playing in the maze at Birr O.E.C. In the afternoon we went to Banagher marina to go canoeing and pier jumping. Our class thought it was the best tour ever!!
