Visit of Darren Hanniffy- GOAL

We raised money for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. We had a "Blue day". Everyone including teachers had to wear something blue and bring in a donation. At Christmas Darren came into our school. He showed us a recording of his work in Haiti on our interactive board. We saw how the people of Haiti are suffering. Most of the buildings are in ruins. People are living in temporary shelters without proper facilities. Darren told us all about the work of GOAL. Two students from 5th and 6th class presented Darren with a cheque on behalf of the whole school. We were honoured to have Darren. He is a true role model for us all in Rath.
