Writer's week

Writer's week took place in November 2010.
We prepared lots of book reports and every class in the school concentrated on drafting stories and illustrating.
We had visits from different writers.

On the 8th of November we had Oisin McGann at or school. He wrote lots of excellent books and the children really enjoyed the readings by Oisin. He showed us how he illustrates books; he drew Mad Granddad, Mildred and many more characters from his stories.

On the 12th of November we had a visit from Lucinda Jacobs. She writes bi-lingual books using Gaeilge and English. Her most famous book is Emma's hat. The children loved listening to her stories and what inspires her to put pen to paper.
