Dear Friend, 
                    You are cordially invited to the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Rath N.S on Saturday 22nd June 2013.
                    The celebrations will commence with a special mass @ 4.00 pm in St. John's Church, Rath, concelebrated by Bishop Michael Smith, Rev John Moorhead and other visiting priests.
                    Following this, guests will visit the school. There will be a historic display of roll books, photographs etc. dating from 1963 up to present day. This will give you the opportunity to meet with old friends and acquaintances and share stories and memories from your school
days over a cup of tea and light refreshments.
                    A "Rath N.S. Anniversary Booklet" will be on sale on the evening. We would be delighted to recieve any old photographs, memories or memorabilia that you would like to share. Please forward these (clearly marked with the date of the photograph, your name and address) to any committee member or directly to school via post, email or by person . All photographs will be treated with great care and returned.
                    It is the fervent wish of  the anniversary committee that all past and present pupils and their families will join us for this wonderful occasion. We look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Time Capsule

Parent Mrs Fiona Murphy and a group of pupils paint and decorate a time capsule to mark the 50th anniversary of Scoil Náisiunta Naomh Eoin. Each pupil and staff member will submit a '2013 time sheet' displaying his or her favourite book, music, game, story, school activity, photograph, news, sweet wrapper etc. The capsule will be sealed and locked away for another 10 years!!!!! The whole school is busy preparing for the celebrations on the 22nd June 2013.
Some fun events for children will be organised on the school grounds and there's something for young and old. So come along and enjoy the day!
