Cumann na mBunscoil Camogie Champions

6/3/2025

Our Incredible Camogie team showed great skill and determination in beating Coolderry in a thrilling Cumann na mBunscoil County Final on Tuesday 27th May in St. Brendan's Park, Birr. Consisting of members from 4th, 5th and 6th class our girls showed fantastic teamwork, committment and tremendous skill to overcome a valiant Coolderry team. This marks the first time in our school that our girls have won the double in the same year, bringing home the title in both the football and camogie. Huge congratulations girls. What an amazing bunch of players you are!

Young Enterprise In-School Event 2025

4/3/2025

On Friday 28th March we held an in-school Young Enterprise event for 5th & 6th Class. Ms. Mary Grennan and Ms. Mary Walsh were our guest judges. The over all standard of entries by the pupils was extremely high and the judges had a very difficult task selecting twelve pupils to go forward to the regional Young Enterprise event in Tullamore. Well done to all the pupils for participating so enthusiastically and creatively in the event and a huge thank you to our guest judges who were very impressed by the excellent exhibits!

Halloween Celebrations

10/25/2024

We celebrated Halloween in spook-tacular style today! Fifth and Sixth looked appropriately scary in their costumes with a number of home made and upcycled costumes on the day! Well done to everyone. We went to the hall before little break to have our customary Halloween show and each class performed some spooky, Halloween themed poems and songs. Our class recited the poem "Oiche Shamhna" and sang the song "Thriller" by Michael Jackson. M.J and Noah acoompanied this with some excellent moon-walking!
After break we played some traditional Halloween games such as Bobbing for apples and cutting the flour. We then watched "Hocus Pocus" and had treats and sweets. It was a fun-filled day to mark the end of our first term and the beginning of Halloween mid-term break. Enjoy the break and the trick-or treating everyone!
