Junior and Senior Infants are currently participating in a six week gymnastics programme. They are learning how to do forward rolls, backward rolls, pencil rolls. They are using the equipment to experiment with all kinds of movements including hanging off of and travelling across the monkey bars, climbing the climbing frame, balancing on the benches, jumping off of the box. We love gymnastics!
Junior and Senior Infants did some gardening during the lovely Spring sunshine last week. We decided to weed our flower bed and plant some wildflowers. We would like to attract butterflies and bees. We raked the soil, scattered the seeds and watered the soil. We hope we will have beautiful flowers soon!
Infants, first and second classes took a class trip to the library in Birr. We travelled on the bus. We listened as Joe the librarian read us a story. We had a picnic in the library and then we visited the playground. We had a wonderful adventure!
